Our mailing address is Merrick’s Parrots~5321 Twin Falls Creek Road~Morgan Hill, CA 95037 (503) 537-6110 & mobile number is (408) 464-6125.  My name is Renee, Nae Nae to my four beautiful grandsons, & my husband is named Alan.  We were blessed with a darling grand daughter in November of 2016! Finally, a girl, Indie Mae! We have hand raised with a spoon, too many chicks to count over the last thirty years.  It has been a labor of love, we spend much more on the little darlings than they provide to us monetarily.  We have a total of 12 pair of parrots! I believe to properly spoon feed & socialize a young parrot, one needs a great deal of patience & a great deal of time.  In order to make any money breeding parrots, it is necessary to own 100 + pair of birds & the youngsters from that many parrots can’t be loved by one person only. So, we keep the number of parrots to a minimum & love the Intelligence our parrots demonstrate to us on a daily basis.  I believe they compare to a six year old child in intelligence, mischief, tantrums, & love.  They just never grow up, similar to many humans I’ve met! Parrots are simply amazing.  We feed them Harrison’s High Protein Course~Roudybush medium pellets, sprouted seeds sprouted by Renee, birdie bread baked by Renee, fruits & veggies, various no salt nuts consisting of walnuts, peanuts, raw almonds, all human grade.  They all drink from 32 oz Lix-It Bottles, insuring their water stays free of food particles, fresh & clean.  Breeding cages for all Macaws are 10′ x 6′ x 6′ walk in aviaries, large enough for them to fly from their perches.  Rosie’s African Grey’s & Eclectus live in 6′ x 6′ x 3′ walk in aviaries & they to fly in their cages. add another page. I’ve intended to place a recipe for Birdie Mash, but life shows up & I was unable to get her done! So here it is:

Cube & cook yams, sweet potatoes, russets, & carrots so they are still crisp like broccoli not mushy! Add potato mixture to rice mixture & fold gently not breaking pototoes. Add 10 or 11 Tbl spoons to a small plastic bag. Place as many small bags into a gallon sized bag & freeze. One serving is 2-3 Tbl. One small bag lasts approximately 4 days! Good to label your bags. Heat until comfortably warm, add Tropican vitamins from Hagan, Remember, the mixture will spoil quickly, so you need to toss any unused portions out before 4 hours, hot weather less time. Thanks for your patience take good care of your feathered friends.
